Shoreline Abstract Art

(Edited)

One of the more interesting shorelines I have seen lately. Here at Cooper Lake, East Kootenay, British Columbia. Nature’s own “Shoreline Abstract Art”. It was a fabulous day to be out and about, far from civilization, and deep into nature. It would have been the perfect place and time to sit on a log, soak in a few rays, and contemplate life or even dig deeply into a favourite novel or two. Gotta love nature! Thanks for stopping by for a look.

Lovely photos!

We live by the coast in Washington state, and the natural "art" of the beach can be quite amazing and inspiring, particularly after a significant storm throws driftwood on the beach in quite sculptural formations.

No doubt, this lake is inland, so we wouldn't see the same kind of "creative destruction". Thanks for stopping by!

That has such nice, clear water. I love mountain lakes, only problem is they are a bit chilly to take a dip in! It does make for some abstract art there, nature at it's finest chaos. The monochromes come out really cool on the debris in the shallows, especially that first picture. That's pretty cool!

That clear water is just so lovely to see up close! Almost makes you want to take a sip or two. Probably wouldn't kill me lol. I should bring along a portable water filter sometime just to try out. Thanks for stopping by.

A little giardia infection might follow though, it may look clean to the eye but it never really is! lol

I'll stick with the filter, ever used a life straw?

The straw with the built in filter? Yes I have. Of course boiling it is the tried and true method, or chlorine pills in a pinch! When I used to go out a lot I wouldn't leave home without my camel back!

Exactly, you have to truly love nature, a perfect place to sit and reflect. You didn't shoot those long portraits pictures this time around.

This one was all about the shoreline, which I felt was really interesting. Thanks for looking.

Do you know since I joined Hive I keep seeing posts like these with pictures and scenes of beautiful rural areas, with lakes and rivers. You live in an absolutely lovely area of the world, your post is soothing and serene. And when you say you're far from civilisation I'm sure that's where I need to be. I need to keep thinking!

It is really nice to get out to these isolated lakes. I do live closer to “regular” civilization actually, but do try and get out into nature as often as possible. Thanks for the comment!
