Rock Chunks
Look at the huge rock chunks sitting smack dab in the middle of the canyon! Anytime I came across one, I’d stop and see if I could determine the origin of the rock chunk, sometimes you can specifically see the “nick” in the canyon wall, where the chunk once lived. During this part of the walk/hike I was the only one in canyon , sort of an eerie feeling actually to be the only one there, perhaps I should have been with a small group, it is always better to hike with a few other people, but it is not always possible. Of course I had bear spray in front pocket, ready to draw at any time.

What a great composition with that landscape making a "V" in the background between forest and mountains, leaving that wonderful rock in the foreground, a lot of visual impact here!

Up here all those odd rocks that stand out were deposited by glaciers. And some of them even have stories from the Inuit relating to their ancestors placing them to sit and look across the landscape
