Random Friday

It’s Friday again! Time for more “Random Friday” photos I think. What did you get up to this week? Another work week for the record books. I’ve got the weekend off, which means I’ll be heading out to the trails. Then on Monday, it’s a holiday for us Canadians. It is “Thanksgiving” up here. Of course in the US, Thanksgiving is in November. Why it is different than the US? No clue whatsoever. Kind of odd actually. All holidays are virtually at the same, except Thanksgiving. Go figure. Thanks for dropping by, and Happy Thanksgiving to all Canadians.

Beautiful shots. Maybe different countries actually wants to have their own unique thanksgiving day and that's why it's different, if not, it's literally the same holiday.

You're right, it's the same holiday. Because we are above the US, it feels like we celebrate Thanksgiving twice a year actually. A lot of the media I consume comes from down south!

Wow!... I didn't know Thanksgiving was celebrated on a different date in Canada than in the US!... Every day I learn something new here on #Hive!;)...

Well, thanks for this wonderful post and happy thanksgiving from now on to you @daveks friend!

PD: I've seen thousands of pictures of Northern Lights on the internet this week... But this one of yours is the only one in B&W! .... That deserves a big round of applause! ;)

Sure looks different in black and white!

Even most Americans probably don’t realize that us Canadians have a different day to celebrate thanksgiving.

What a beautiful aurora! You just don't get to see those in southern California. Even when they reach this far south the is so much light pollution you can't see anything! That's a great lake shot too!

I'll bet. Don't much think about light pollution around here. Maybe you should move up here to Canada eh?
