Radium Lookout

After our brief hike through Sinclair Canyon in the morning, the next short, very short hike was up this hill. I’m not sure if it had a name or not, but I am going to call it the “Radium Lookout”. From up top, you can see most of the townsite area, and apparently, this trail continues along the hillside and valley, all the way to the hot springs themselves. We did end up only driving to the hot springs, next time we may check out the hike, if in fact it does lead to the springs. I am not very familiar with this area, unlike Banff Park, where I did actually live for several years. Spending time here was more of an adventure! Thanks for stopping by.

Magnificent in color ... striking in black and white, as though winter came early and painted the mountain instead of settling snow on it...

That first picture looked like a drone shot, unless I'm wrong, maybe it was a elevated area you took that. However that place is beautiful, the angle of the shots really gives a lot of details. Nice job.

Yes it does look like a drone shot, but it isn't, speaking of drones, I should buy one. Thanks as always for stopping by.

Yeah, I think you should buy one too, but I don't know if they allow it in the area. They have restrictions in places like in the US, I guess, I'm not sure

In the national parks they are banned, although I do see video pop up on YouTube from time to time.

I suspected as much, I actually believe there are places protected against using drones

Beautiful landscape from these viewpoint, I hope you can make the hike through the trail soon @daveks friend!

What is this that you saw there on this shot @daveks friend?... Termite mounds?... A calcareous formation?... Something made by humans?... I'm curious... :)

Good question, it caught me eye, but not sure at all what it is. Looked like a hoodoo or something.

What nice country to enjoy to pine trees and a nice little town. That place looks nice! Someone even painted a nice big yellow rock for your enjoyment. Why yellow, why there, why not? lol

Yeah, it did stick out, and not even sure what it was. Maybe a hoodoo or something.
