“North Trails”

IMG_20240919_151414_Original.jpeg

Hiking around this splendid area was such a blast, and the weather was cooperating as well. This is the Nipika Mountain resort area, located in British Columbia. The beautiful Cross river runs through this area, finally intersecting with the Kootenay river. Hardly a person on the trail this afternoon, I’m really starting to love this area, and anticipating our return sometime next Summer. This portion is designated as the “North trails”, and the other section is of course the “South trails”. Next year’s challenge will be the south trails.

Wow, your hike sounds amazing! The Nipika Mountain Resort area is truly breathtaking, and you captured it beautifully. The solitude on the trails must have made the experience even more special. Can’t wait to see your adventures on the South trails next year! 🌲🥾

It is truly awesome hiking without the "crowds". Looking forward to the south trails, can’t wait! Thanks for stopping by.

Mountains and trees 🌳, a hike in such an environment, is bliss. I went for a similar hike yesterday but very steep.

The natural beauty is very extraordinary. The school always shows beautiful views and we as humans must certainly maintain the preservation of good nature.Greetings for today.

When I see beautiful posts like these sometimes I wish I would live in a country with mountains 🤩my country is completely FLAT, it's convenient in daily life but mountains look lovely!

Wonderful photos, but I have to say I imagine them taken with a camera. A cell phone is a cell phone, a camera is a camera.

I get that. As soon as I have exhausted all the cell phone photos, I will move on to the actual camera shots. Probably a couple of weeks away.

A place with beautiful views and always a dead tree trunk that attracts attention. Nice shot

It's crazy how they get massive 18 wheel logging trucks up those roads

That would be an interesting job wouldn't it!

There used to be some show where they cut down trees on mountain tops in Oregon and used a combination of helicopters and logging trucks. They made good cash too.

Amazing trail, it looks like a slide where you can put in ski boots and go down the hike path. The shots are equally as good.

Man I love the virtual hikes you provide for me on such a consistent basis!

Having been to the mountains in recent years, it takes me right back there. All flat and grey here at the moment. Hibernating is awesome when you can live vicariously through the lens of friend’s cameras!

Can't get enough of the mountains right? It's addicting. We just need to get over this winter blip. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I love the color of that water in the stream down below, just so pretty. I see why you like the area, so much scenery and not too many people. Gorgeous!

The views never get old. I pray I get the chance to drive through Western Canada before I die.
