Mountain Serenity

What gives you serenity? What is serenity? A calmness, a quietness, peacefulness. These are the feelings I get when walking amongst the mountains and lakes. A lake without a mountain is good, a mountain without the lake is also good, but the combination of the both is great! A perfect combination or as I call it: Serenity. The perfect place to get into, and out of the concrete jungle. This is my getaway. How about you, what is your getaway? Your serenity? What is your nirvana? Photos taken inside Kananaskis country, Alberta, Canada.

I also like them! It’s nice you have a place to escape from all the stress. I like to have this kind of place near me so I can go anytime.

Well first off, these shot's are amazing as usual and I feel the same way as you do. Anything in nature for me is a must and it always feels right to be out there, far, far away from the city. The less humans also the better while out in the mountains, although some are okay at times and even good but nothing like being by yourself soaking it all in.

Less humans, more nature, I like it. We think alike. Thanks for stopping in.

Did you see any trout in the lake? a Favorite spot of mine in Kananaskis is Chester Lake, it's teeming with fish.

Saw a few people fishing, but didn’t see anything myself. I’ve got Chester lake on my radar for next summer, but in the meantime looking for something easy to do this weekend. Was thinking maybe Elbow Falls/Bragg creek area or Sibbald creek or something, any recommendations?

Wear boots for the mud 🤣
Personally I'd stick to Canmore or Glenbow Ranch by Cochrane.

Great shots. Some fantastically majestic mountains there in Canada!
Nature truly is beautiful and a place to be tranquil. It can be the opposite, when you twist your ankle, run out of food, the sun is going down and you're miles away from your house, but, hey, sh*t happens!

That would be a downer. You got out into nature, you takes your chances.

no doubt. at those times you realize a flip just happened: you go from being able to admire such beauty, to realizing that your not seeing beauty anymore. just a harsh, unforgiving nature!

but yeah, like you say, you take your chances. and, nothing like being the most prepared you can be.

being in a position where i can admire nature now though, great shots! Canada's beautiful!

do you do any camping?

Not really, but am open to the idea. Depends who my hiking mates are. Always good to bring an experienced “camper” along.

No words to describe the beauty of this place. One can attain serenity, no doubt, when you attend such place. Really breath taking view. Is the water in the lake of walking heights. Looks so pure.

Probably could wade in, but then I’m sure it gets much deeper. Thanks.

I feel the same way you do, tranquil, that in the midst of turbulence, Nature is the opium.
The Lake and the Mountain are a formidable combination to evoke such a wonderful feeling.

The shots are divine.

Canada is really blessed to have these kind of spots, a getaway from stress. Who wouldn't find peace and relaxation in this kind of environment.
Superb shots.

I could spend months someplace like that and just enjoy the beauty and the quiet. That water is so clear, it looks perfect for a nice day of kayaking!
