Mountain Lake Reflections

IMG_20240813_121459_Original.jpeg

One of my favourite things about hiking in the mountains, are the mountain reflections off the lake. Especially with super clear clean water like this here, at Silver Springs Lakes, East Kootenay, British Columbia. Imagine canoeing or kayaking on this pure calm water! For this day though, hiking was the objective. Perhaps next time, we will bring some kayaks or just swimming gear to try some cliff jumping. Or both! Did you get a chance to do any kayaking or canoeing this year? Thanks for stopping by.

I really like your photography and this view is pretty and very close to nature.
Mountains are such a place where you can feel free and fresh.

Indeed, very true. What is better than nature?

Yes. Looks cool but I can still see under the water. The water is clear :)

The first photo is such a good shot 👍

I like the symmetry both directions, vertical and horizontal too!

Those reflections look excellent in color and in black and white! The depth and transparency of the water is pretty trippy!

Mind blowing photographs. Especially, the third picture is too good, the Green blue combination. Happy hiking.

I must admit that for these photos I prefer the colored versions. Nature photos to me need their color. 😀

Generally speaking, I prefer the colours as well, but not always. Thanks for the comment.

True, the reflections are just unimaginable.. seeing the depth of the water from the surface shows how clean the water can be..

So amazing my friend, awesome shots once again. I'd rather stay on land but I do think about jumping on a boat or kayak someday. Have a blessed weekend.

Those really are pretty, but the color reflections take the day in my book. It is fun to get to a peaceful clear water lake and see those reflections, nothing quite like it! You got some beautiful shots!

Agreed. Just love them reflections, for some reason they look better in photographic form versus real time sometimes. Thanks for stopping by.

That contrast of tones in the reflection of the lake that you were able to capture was undoubtedly spectacular.
