Momma & Baby Bear Edits

So as I’m driving down this road, I notice some black objects on the side of the road. Looking closer, it’s a Momma and baby black bear! First thing that comes to mind is that I gotta get closer for a photo or two (I’m in the vehicle at this time). I slow down the car, and then they suddenly they start to boot it across the road. Luckily I got one photo, and it turned out decent. Although I wished I could have got closer! Oh well. Next time I will approach a lot slower. I have 5 different edits here to show you. Which is your favourite? Thanks for stopping by.

Being inside the car gives one a feeling of security actually, that being said, the bear spray was close at hand!

I definitely like picture number 3 more. The black bears are so cute compared to the 800-pound brown bears we see here. They are built like absolute tanks. I hope you had a great weekend!

If it would have been a grizzly or a brown bear, I wonder if it would have sprinted off like that. Probably not, I imagine. Thanks for stopping by.

Looks like both Mamma bear and baby bear having a leisure walk on the road. The first capture is rather quite a close up one.

I think I'd be quite scared if I met an animal like this. And the appearance of the images that I showed is indeed good and I like the photographic results that my friends have shown.

I like the second one, I know that feeling of missing the opportunity to get closer and capture them better.

This is a really nice catch of two bears,You have to be careful because bears are very dangerous animals.

Among all of the nice compositions you made, I feel that #2 is the best. It's because the bears are positioned nicely with enough space to show the nice background.

I bet it's a cool experience to witness the black bears as they roam the area. 😄

With the trees in the frame, #2 was one of my top picks. A very cool experience it was, thanks for the comment.

If you were shooting with a DSLR, maybe you could have just had a better shot. I'm not saying these ones are bad, but because they're running off, you might not have gotten the right shots you want. Still beautiful shots.

My plan was to grab the dslr actually, but...they took off. That would of been so epic to get a few better pics. Wasn't meant to be though I guess. Thanks.

Very cool pictures! Bears tend to be very shy which is a good thing for us humans!

Back in the 1960's people could still feed the bears in Yellowstone National Park, the bears were much more friendly back then. Once my grandfather stopped and gave a bear half a stick of gum and he ate the other half. He was in the car so he rolled up his window which was fortunate because the bear tried to swat him with it's paw because it wanted the other half of the gum. Never feed bears...
!LOL

I wonder why bears were friendlier back then?

People fed them leftover burgers and food. They love easy food just like all animals. But they are just too unpredictable to be around people so they banned the practice.

Nice ones, I hope to get some bears one day, other than at animals zoos. I did get a baby deer running straight at are car one day on the last trip but I was on the wrong settings, lets see if I can fix them up one day when I get to those edits.

If I could just get one nice shot of a wild bear, that would be so epic. Hopefully someday!

Bears, I have seen them only on film and in the cinema. Splendid photos. I congratulate you. Best wishes.

You are lucky to have the opportunity to observe exotic things, bears walking around, it must be a marvel and you are always present. Here in Venezuela, for example, we observe many fish of diverse varieties and tasty, each region and country is distinguished by its animals and vegetation. Greetings.

What an opportunity. No. 3 is my favorite. In all of the edits it looks as if the cub is levitating in mid air - that's very cool.

I'm in NJ and there have been a lot of black bear sightings here. Also very close, well, actually in my township where I go for walk/jobs. I'm constantly looking around me when I'm out there. Not sure what I would do though if I turned a corner and stared into some bear's eyes...

I really, really got to get myself to post a bit more and in the colour or b&w community, too which I joined ages ago but still have not posted in.

Maybe I should get some spray as well, you know, just in case. Well, I just posted a fall colors themed post but I am thinking of turning some of those photo b&w and that would be a perfect opportunity for the community.

'Rogue humans' - hahaha - imagine doing that in e.g. NYC, thanks for the chuckle.
