Meachen Creek Falls

Ever heard the expression “hidden gem”? I would say that this water fall would certainly qualify under this category. If you can believe it, there is no signage indicating that there is a fall here! Unbelievable. Honestly this was quite a spectacular fall with an 85 ft or 25 metre drop. Located in East Kootenay, British Columbia. We were the only ones there, and no other vehicles in sight. If this were inside Banff National park, it would be crawling with tourists guaranteed. I’m so glad I decided to explore other parts of the Rockies, outside our national parks. Canada is such a gorgeous country, with literally unlimited spectacular nature to behold!! When are you planning to come to Canada?

Truly, it is a hidden gem. No tourist guide around?

This looks good. I think most waterfalls are hidden but this looks so adorable.

How did you get to know about it?

Wow, that waterfall looks amazing bro. It's incredible how some places remain undiscovered. Nature truly has its secrets and it's a lot man. Beautiful falls, a perfect place for vacation

Oh nice, nice shots and moment. Love it when that happens finding a hidden gem, as well as being there alone or with your group. I did a hike to a waterfall and many people there, not ideal but still was fun. Have a good one my friend.

Yeah, it was pretty awesome. We were the only ones there. Thanks for stopping by.

You wouldn't want to slip and fall into the water right there, that would ruin your day! What a pretty spot, I love the sound of waterfalls like those. Best part is you were there alone without tourists all there trying to take their pictures as well.

That's why I don't like going to Yellowstone much anymore, there are just too many people in the place...

Great pictures as always, those B&W's bring out some nice details in the images. Nicely done, glad you found a nice peaceful spot in the mountains!

Hidden gem equals few people, which was ideal. Never been to Yellowstone, but would certainly love to go someday. Maybe in the off season, when fewer tourists.
