Kayaking Fail

IMG_20240814_163315_Original.jpeg

On this day, the plan was to do some kayaking! Fun right? Who wouldn’t want to go kayaking. The lake in front of these Kayaks is called Jimsmith lake, a small lake just outside of Cranbrook, British Columbia. The only small issue was the wind. After careful consideration, we decided it was just too windy to go out on the water. Notice no other kayaks on the lake either. Guess it wasn’t meant to be this time around. Looking forward to calmer waters for next time!

The water current looks silent but as you say if its windy then you have to think twice for kayaking. I have seen peoples kn kayaks, but first time I have a close view of the kayak in the 3rd pic. Nice.

Nice workout while keeping close to nature. It's a big lake too, you can go for hours.

Safety first. I love kayaking a lot and all sorts of water activities. Don't miss paddling when calm comes.

If it were a canoe then we would have done it. Them kayaks are a bit more tipsy. Thanks.

The water is nice, clear and blue as well. It's saddening to see you couldn't get some kayaking time. Why is it dangerous to kayak when it's windy?

Harder and easier to tip over, and seeing as it is something I don't do often, am not a pro at it either.

Dang that sucks, to get all hyped up to go out and then boom the wind but its all good better to be safe then get stuck out their in the winds. You still got to get some cool snaps in though, have a great Sunday my friend.

Beautiful, but that wind and waves are way too risky in those little kayaks unless you don't mind a swim in some ice cold water!

Great pictures! Is that haze a little smoke?

Not a fan of falling into cold water!

No smoke, just overcast.
