Jura Creek Canyon
Well I had a shuttle ticket to Lake Louise booked and paid for, but the problem was the forecast. 10-15mm of rain! Not ideal when hiking (but still doable). Also, I wasn’t particularly fond of my experience on the shuttle going to Moraine Lake previously. Quick decision, what to do. I remember @unipsycho recommended a hiking spot called Jura Creek Canyon some time back. Not as far as Lake Louise, shorter hike as well (still feeling a bit drained from the Moraine hike), I’m in! So I park the vehicle and walk to the trailhead. I proceed. There are in fact several difference trails crisscrossing which is a bit confusing I thought. Nonetheless common sense tells you where to walk more or less. Mountain is that away! I get to the Canyon and enter, and wow the narrow walls are super neat and high. I don’t recall experiencing anything this cool! Here are a few pics from that journey.
