Journey Back
You’ve heard it before, but I’ll say it again. All good things usually come to and end. Including this hike to Hourglass Lake. Luckily I was able to capture a ton of photos on the way up, and also on the Journey Back. As you can see, a fire ripped through this area some years back. As devastating as that can be, it is a natural part of the ecosystem. It does look beautiful in it’s own way, in my opinion. The Journey back is always when the trekking poles get their turn in the spotlight. My knees are thankful. We had a brief moment of light snow at one point, but then just as quickly as that brief moment came, the sun came out and it literally felt like a new day! Thanks for coming along on the Journey Back. Btw, are you going on any journeys this Summer?

Happy Canada Day!
Thanks!
It has a forlorn but beautiful look.
Indeed, well put.
I agree the trees look stunning despite the bad experience.
Nature at work.
Yes it is.😊😊 Have a nice day ahead.😊
It's a really cool place to have spent a lot of time though, if it was me too, I'll miss the experience. Beautiful shots
Thanks, a beautiful experience it was.
Those black and white's really bring out the details in the burned trees, that pretty cool. Fires do happen, they always have even before people were around...
Those poles really help going downhill don't they?
Yes, nature at work…
Those poles are a must going down, only regret not using them from the beginning of my hiking experiences.
OMG!!!!... "The shot"...
