Fullerton Loop

Located about 45 min west of Calgary, inside Kananaskis country, is the Fullerton Loop hike. It is approximately 6.6 kilometres (4 miles) in length, and 221 metres (725 feet) of elevation gain. I guess it took about 2 hours or so to complete this hike. I would rate it as about a 6.5/10. The first hour or so was somewhat uneventful, things didn't get exciting until about the last third of the journey. The trail takes you around the edge of a ridge which was kind of thrilling. There, some decent views of the valley below. Have you had a chance to do any hiking inside Kananaskis country? Thanks for stopping by!

That mushroom was one of the largest I have ever seen. Thanks for looking @mnurhiver.

The first and the last work best in B&W for me. I like the beams of the sun on these shots.
The flower has a very nice color, but because of the background it doesn't stand out as much as it could. But another angle would have been difficult here I think.

Nice photo walk!

Yes, I agree. Another angle, lower would have improved things possibly (but then I would have had to crouch lower lol..)

The last colored picture is such a beauty. I mean, from there you can almost see the amazing topography of the landscape. Nice bokeh shots with the giant mushroom.

I captured a good variety of photos on this hike. Some great squirrel shots to which I may publish tonight or tomorrow. Thanks.

That has some beautiful scenery! You've got a good eye for interesting pictures. Both the colors and monochromes look great today. I love that flower, that thing is pretty!
