Fog, Ducks & Bridges

avatar
(Edited)

For today, some random photographs captured during our excursion to the Canadian Rockies last weekend. Fog, Ducks, and Bridges. A little bit of everything. The big story was the overwhelming fog and light rain we had to deal with. (But at least we made it to Canmore, and avoided the 10-25 mm of forecasted snowfall for the most part). I was surprised to find some ducks chillin in this creek, considering it is February and all. Usually this creek would be frozen over, but not today. A surprising amount of development taking place in this small mountain town. This is the place to retire in. I recommend it!

Colourful ducks having fun time in the cold water. The last picture lòoks like a mansion. Under the bridge is that ice on the other side?

Yes, it is ice. Not warm enough to melt though.

Beautifully captured birds. Back in the day I used to love black and white photography a lot. But ever since I got my Nikon z6 camera, I’ve started liking coloured photos.

The balance of light in that sky in the first photo, with the sun between the clouds, is something amazing to look at!... Impressive photo!... Thanks for sharing!

PD: Awwwww... Lovely ducks! :/

What nice photos, the ducks are pleased by the natural environment without much snowfall. The sites you always show are spectacular. Friend @daveks there you make a food called cachapa with corn, today I present it in my publication, I hope your opinion about it. Greetings. Best wishes.

That fog in the background and of course the old bridge look great in B&W! It looks like the ducks are perfectly happy even with the cold weather!

I could make out the shape of the Sun in that first shot and I don't actually have a problem with the fog, though it could make your photographic experience less enjoyable.
The ducks look like they are having a time of their lives swimming in there.
Oh! This bridge is modern, I think it's so strong and eye-catching.

I just love that bridge. A few ducks also, just for good measure. Thanks for looking.
