Fallen Logs & Reflections

IMG_20240814_112020_Original.jpeg

Walking around Yankee Lake here inside Premier Provincial Park, East Kootenay, British Columbia. A perfect setting for some fantastic reflections, mixed in with fallen trees. What a great combination for photo ops! Couldn’t have asked for a better day to be here. Now all I need is a fishing pole and bait, a couple of rocks to skip, and an apple to munch on. How about you? What would you do for fun at this lake?

wow very beautiful place & great photos, this place is definitely a must visit, 1st,2nd,4th photos r my fav, well f i was n there i would camp next to the lake with family or friends, play volleyball, walk n the nearby area & at night play music, f the lake is deep enough swim & do some kayaking, stay for 2-3 days. the idea of making a community for photos made n both colored & white-black versions is great because both r beautiful n their own way & usually impossible to favor one version over the other. finally -nice post -well done & have a good day

Such a beaitiful sight. The first pic resembles a beautiful scenery for any artist to sit and draw from the other side of the river, munching an apple.😍

Is legal to actually fish here? The water is unbelievably magical with that log inside it.

Good question. Not sure actually. Might need a permit actually if allowed. Thanks @josediccus.

I'm used to being blown away by your ability to ‘find the perfect space to shoot a landscape photo’... But it's becoming more and more impressive what you do!... That first photo is a marvel!... And in black and white it's also just as good, but today I'll stick with the colour version because they look like the colors come from the palette of an classic oil painter!...

Yes, they do have a "somewhat" feel of a painting. It's the way that the Huawei tends to render photos. Thanks as always @jlinaresp.
