Fall or Autumn?

Fall or Autumn? Well here in Canada, we seem to use either word interchangeably. In the states, Fall seems to be the word of choice. In the UK, Australia and New Zealand, Autumn is the chosen word. The naming of this season came from the ”falling of leaves” in the September, October time of year. The word “Autumn” apparently is a French word (who knew?). All that being said, I think in general, the word Fall does tend to be a bit more widely used. It is easier to say for one thing. One syllable versus two! Humans are lazy lol. Photos taken on monday, inside one of our beautiful national parks. Feel free to post some Fall photos in the comment section.

Haha, I didn’t know that different countries use different words 😂 I actually never thought about it 🤔. Fall is definitely easier to say, but I’ve always used the word autumn because my English teacher always used it, and it stuck in my head 😂. I love your pictures ☺️

Probably most of the world does use "autumn". I guess it doesn't really matter anyways, haha.

I thought fall was a different season from autumn. I probably thought that since there are a bunch of seasons, these two are different. Beautiful shots, the log with all that growth on it..

Now you know! I prefer to use "fall" myself, over "autumn". Thanks as always @josediccus.

Those are nice! The colors in the aspens lend themselves so well to B&W, I never realized that before. I love those shots today with the aspens. The flowers and fugus tree trunk came out nice too. That must have been a nice little hike!

Does commentrewarder just pay out the 3 percent and you still receive the 97 percent? I think I'm going to give that a go, I want to be able to beat that dust limit!

The magic of B&W! This hike was incredible and will be planning to go back again soon. Commentrewarder seems like a pretty good project. I am supporting it!

Nice ones Brother, I say fall to be honest and such a wonderful time to shoot them trees, just like all the shots you have shown us. I see you got some shrooms on the tree too, I have a lot of shots to show of shrooms from out in the wild, got to get to the edits one day though. Haha.
