Elpoca Mountain
Walking around Elbow Lake was certainly a treat. It did get better as I walked around and turned to look up though. What do we have here? Looks like a good old Canadian Rockies mountain. This is the south end of Elpoca Mountain. One of many, many mountains in the surrounding area. Now there is no trail to summit this one, so not even going to try. Looks to be above my pay grade anyways. I’ll leave this one to the experts. A beautiful mountain though, ever notice how no two mountains ever look the same? There is a more climbable mountain (at least for my level) on the opposite side, which I have my eye on doing after circling the lake. Stay tuned for that. Photos taken near Elbow Lake, Kananaskis country, Alberta.

It is definitely a Rocky Mountain. I'll be waiting to see it from the other side!
The best is yet to come. Thanks for looking.
Looks like some good minerals in that rock to me, I'd attempt it but only in my younger years. haha. Awesome shot's my friend.
Yeah, I hear ya. Thanks @shoemanchu.
I can only enjoy these mountains from the posts you share, the rest is reading about the beauty of the Rocky Mountains, thank you for sharing

I wish I could live here. Its so beautiful scenery.
You and me both.
The forth picture definitely has my whole heart.
It looks as if the rock is hanging in the clouds,so breathtaking.
It does, doesn’t it! Thanks for looking.
gorgeous photos as per usual. Did you do the hike in behind the mountain to the glacier? It's a worth while one just for the birds eye view.
I did. Photos coming soon for that. It was pretty awesome. Have you done it?
It's been years but yes I did. It was lovely, I should do it again. Not the easiest hike but also not that bad at the same time once I was up there but i'm pretty sure I threw out my knee for like 5 months doing it (fine now thanks to tony coper sleeves). I dipped my feet in that lake to cool off on the way back down from the mountain, the water in that lake is cold. Looking forward for the rest of the hike as the episodes are released then. 😄
The steep ascent of this mountain generates an effect of "landscape coming down on the observer" which is always fascinating to appreciate... Excellent work as always... We are waiting for those photos from that other mountain which you are planning to climb!... Thanks for sharing dear @daveks friend!

The trees seem to be climbing a mountain))
Yes, it does look that way!
I am looking at the Mountain against the backdrop of the blue/white clouds, very beautiful.
It was so picturesque. Thanks.
Without ropes I wouldn't even try to climb that one! It looks pretty easy until you run into the rock face. Pretty mountain, I love all the pines and the base of the peak.
I’ll leave the heavy more technical hikes to the more experienced. Thanks for stopping in.
Beautiful photographs, it is good to see them in two versions, color and black and white. I think I owe it to myself to make a post in the community "Colour / Black & White” , I think it will be fun to meet everyone there, see you soon. Thanks for sharing your work here too.

I can picture myself out of breath walking up that. Pausing, panting and taking in the superb views
