Elk

After completing two shorter hikes around Anette and Edith lake, it was time to move on to the next adventure. The next planned location is Pyramid Island, which is not too far from here, probably about thirty minutes or so away from this place. Driving along, I spotted this Elk, all by itself walking near the road. The easy thing to do would have been to grab the smartphone, but I really wanted to get some high quality photos to post here on Hive. So I went the extra mile and slowed to a stop, grabbed the DSLR and rolled down the window. Only problem was though, the animal wasn’t staying put and was moving along. So with great difficulty, I pulled off about 6 photos, but only 3 made the cut. Photos taken inside Jasper National Park, Alberta. Here they are:

This is a very cool catch,In our place it is very difficult to find deer,But there are many of them in the wild, but they are hunted so much that they are now rarely found.

Lots of blue sky and water in your images, a little more elevated than where I spend most of my time. Beautiful landscapes and beings up there!

Canadian Rockies are really superb. That being said, I could spend a little more time by some warm beaches too. Thanks for the visit.

I'm up for a short exchange as long as you've got plenty of firewood and grub in stock!

Nature seems to be so compromising in your land with mountains, rivers, landscapes and to add to its beauty more of greeneries with Elk playing around. It seems very reluctant to pose for the photo. Anyway looks good amidst your chase for a photo.

Tried my best, but he didn’t feel like posing for me. Imagine that!

I think in this part of the world, it's the wild goat, hunted for the delicacy of its meat.
Your shots even captured the beauty of its strides.

wow... You work very well, photographing one of the objects that is constantly moving is very difficult, although you managed to capture these three great deer images I think it is already very perfect. Thank you brother I shared drugs again with us, I love them.

Beautiful photos. Beautiful Elk. You must have been very quiet. Or a very good Zoom.
