East Kootenay Lake
(Edited)

Here we are up at Hourglass Lake, East Kootenay, British Columbia. It was a mostly overcast afternoon, but I still managed to get some super shots by the lake. Could have used bluer skies, but the weather can’t be perfect all the time. Quite a bit of snow still on the mountains for mid June. In fact while we were lounging by the lakeside, the snow started to fall. Not exactly what one wants to experience while out on the hiking trail, but luckily it only lasted for about 20 minutes. Thanks for stopping by.

Sweet shots. This is what I like about the Sony lens. It did justice to the first shot of that icy mountains and lake.
Yes, with the Huawei it just wouldn't be as clear. Someday I'll have to do a side by side comparison.
A side by side comparison would be awesome, looking forward to it someday
Stay tuned...someday.
I love this type of place where the snow and hill are mix and they looks very pretty from far views.
It truly was an amazing experience. Thanks for looking.
Woah, Snow in mid June. Nature just keeps hikers on their toes. At least it made for some epic shots, cloudy skies give a nice moody vibe too, very cool shots man
Appreciate that, it was a good one.
thanks for sharing it too, good camera skills 💯
Magnificent images that transport us to a beautiful place!
Indeed, glad I could facilitate that. Thanks for stopping by.
My pleasure!
What a beautiful lake, @daveks your photos inspired me to follow you most a reason that I bought a secondhand nikon d3500 to try also the photography. Please check and have recommendations about my first DSLR post.
Ok, will do.
I like the big hill in that photo graph, but I don't like the gray water as much
Not a gray water fan bos? Looks like this cat is...

Hehe, he rully likes it, think its gray because his fur manipulating it, very AI I suspect
That much snow in June??
Nice pictures, I would have said winter ones😅
It's that higher elevation, even in mid July there is still some snow on the tops, in places.
This is truly a place with amazing views, even though it is cloudy, the atmosphere there still radiates beautifully.
It really was a memorable experience. Looking forward to returning someday. Thanks.
Very very nice🤗🤗🤗
Thanks!
Beautiful shots! The overcast sky adds a nice mood, and the snowfall must have been a unique experience. 📸❄️
It certainly did add another layer of "fun" to the trip.
