Ducks Unlimited

Hiking along Silver Springs Lake here, it was so beautiful, the clear greenish turquoise cool water! I spotted a duck just ahead, and slowly crept up to it. Luckily I was able to get several photos off, before it escaped to another area. Not sure what kind of duck this is, maybe a mallard? I’m no expert on this sort of thing. I always look forward to photographing wildlife on the trails, it is quite a thrill. This lakeside trail was really fantastic to walk along, even stopped to skip stones a time or two. Photos taken in British Columbia, East Kootenay, near Elko. Did you get a chance to photograph any wildlife lately?

Beautiful shots, you make me miss my Huawei. I recently switched to Samsung but I still yearn for Huawei.

It's that "Leica" lens that really makes the photos good. Thanks.

The green pond really pops on those photo's, I notice I have lost your witness vote, just wondering about the reason and I hope I can win it back.

I will look into it, only so many votes one can cast, but I'll give it some thought. Thanks.

Blue duck on green lake. The natural colors complement each other 😀

Wow, I love that green color of the water: not sure if I have ever seen water that was, at the same time, both this greenish and transparent... those are some lucky ducks to live in such a beautiful place!

The color of the water looks unreal.. is this natural? Or is there a biological stuff going on?

Dope shots, the color of the water is spectacular my friend and for the species it is a Common Loon, such and awesome species. I have never captured one yet. Have a blessed Sunday.
