Canada Air

Keeping with the theme of the Canada Goose, today I have a couple of “bird” stamps and one special delivery stamp. Let’s go back to 1946. If you needed something delivered quickly, air mail was the way to go. That being said, 1946 was the last year that Canada actually made an “air mail” stamp. These air stamps were made from 1928-1946. The second stamp was issued in 1955 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the international civil aviation organization (thats a mouth full), an agency of the wonderful UN. The final stamp depicts a Canadian coat of arms, also released in 1946. Which is your favourite?

Canada must be a goose-loving country to have had all their stamps 'goosey'.... That's if there's a word like that... 😁
I loved the one in the middle most.

1945 is such a long time, it's really surprising how technology have beefed up things.

Wow bro the history of these stamps is very cool. I never realized Canada stopped making air mail stamps in 1946. My favorite has to be the one commemorating the civil aviation organization, it's such a unique piece man

Oh nice, I like how you kept it rolling from shots of Geese into the stamps, well played. For me I'd go with the first one, your cover shot on being my favorite one of the three of these. Have a blessed weekend my friend.

Yes you might say. Often times, the goose is portrayed in various photography and paintings. There is even a famous clothing brand called “Canada goose”.
