Big Rocks, Small Rocks

At this point in the hike, out at Sunshine Meadows, Banff Park, we were now in British Columbia territory. Admiring the beautiful weather, Mountains, and fresh air, we came across this interesting rock pile. Now it is probable that this chunk of rock originated from one of the surrounding mountains. Neat looking collection of stones, maybe I should have gone in for a closer look. Maybe next time. On the other side of the trail were these nifty bumps. Leftovers from the snow melt. Never seen anything like it before actually.

Must be such an awesome thing to have such beauty around you that you can explore on a regular basis. Here in suburbia it is nothing but houses and concrete

Are there a lot of bear up there? I hear the moose can be ornery at times.

There are some. Moose though, few and far between. I have never seen a moose in the Rockies yet.
