Banff 11km; Lake Louise 70km
(Edited)
It’s always exciting to count down the kilometres until you reach your destination, don’t you think? (the children will verify this to be true) On this particular day, the final destination was the town of Banff. Lake Louise will have to wait for another day. Now to be clear, the town of Banff is located inside Banff National Park. Perhaps they should have called the town something else, like Coal Miner’s town, because nearby around Lake Minnewanka they used to mine coal. Bottom line, I guess it doesn’t really matter. It’s only a name. Beauty is beauty, no matter what you call it!
