Around the Canadian Rockies in Colour and Black & White
Picking up where we left off, (after the detour into Sunset photos) here on the Bow river walking trail, located beside Canmore, Alberta. Mountains in every direction, makes for fantastic mountain sightseeing. As you can see, there was still snow on the mountaintops in early March when these photos were taken.

Now for their Black & White counterparts. The monochromes really give the colours a run for their money. Mountains and monochrome go hand in hand. What do you think?

it's incredible how the atmosphere changes by only watching it in black and white view.
Quite a difference, isn’t it.
Amazing ❤️
Yes! Indeed! I used to think the color was superior until I really started taking an interest in photography and can easily see how separating the color really emphasizes certain features in the photo.
It is so clear on most of yours. I like the first mono best, probably because of the lines it emphasizes.
I feel so cheated with only one post. ;)
Yeah one post. Oh well. Thanks as usual!
Love the snowy mountains!
Thanks for looking.
I wonder if the snow goes away in the summer? I remember Mt Mitchell in North Carolina. It was 90F on the ground but mid 50s at the peak!
Around this area the snow does disappear. At higher altitudes to the west, and around the glaciers, no.
Happy weekend sir.
Same to you.
