Around Downtown in Black & White and Colour

Walking around the downtown area, near the river, over and under the bridge, enjoying a beautiful day. Today I thought I’d lead with the black and white versions. Architecturally rich structures seem to look better in black and white, add in a few shadows and angles to spice things up and a certain kind of magic is created or recreated you might say. The potential photographic material around buildings, bridges, and sky scrapers is seemingly endless. Maybe I ought to come around more often, this was fun afternoon. Walking is probably better than biking around, at least in terms of getting the best photo ops, as you are much more flexible to stop, ponder the shot, turnaround or whatever you need to do to get the best angle or shot. Thanks for coming along today!

Epic buildings, this time around, I think I prefer the black and white. The range of the first portrait shot is very nice.

It's still so weird how the black and white feels like a trip back in time. The Asian gazebo looks kind of out of place, but it's nice!

Five minutes walking distance from the Asian gazebo to the previous pic, but yeah it is totally out of place as you say. Odd but cool, thanks for visiting @thebighigg.
