Vintage Photos - eBay Set #2 (309-312)
I made some impulse buys after getting a new scanner and picked up a huge batch of slides a while back. These pictures span from as early as the late 1940s to as late as the early 1990s. These were from Goodwill and eBay (sometimes via estate sales). There are many thousands of these slides. I will be scanning some from time to time and posting them here for posterity.
This set continues a batch of slides that I bought on eBay a while back. I don't have as much to go on as to the ultimate origin of these compared to the previous batch I was working on. They came to me from eBay and most likely were picked up at an estate sale by the seller. Most of them seem to be taken in the 1960s and same individuals are included in many of the photos. It looks like there are some that were taken in Miami and some that were taken in New Jersey and perhaps elsewhere. I get the impression that Miami was a vacation spot for this family.
The first photo shows the inside of an amusement park. The ticket booth showed up in a recent set. This is undated but would be from the mid to late 1960s like all of the others. This was likely somewhere in Southeast Florida between Fort Lauderdale and Miami somewhere.
The second photo was processed in September 1966 and looks like it was taken on the beach (almost certainly Miami beach) behind a motel. You can see a swimming pool in the background.
The third photo was processed in August 1966 and I recognize the background from previous photos as being from inside a motel, again probably on Miami Beach.
The last photo was processed in June 1968 and features a cat. You can't go too long without a cat pic after all.

I picked up a couple of point and shoot cameras as well as a Hi 8 video camera from Goodwill Friday. The Hi 8 had a tape in it, looked at it and it was someone's vacation to Italy, I believe. They had some fun too, fast forwarded around and they went to a couple of magic acts, rode on a boat or two, and saw many vendors at a street market (and I am sure other things, the tape was over an hour of video).
No idea how to get the video back to the owners but it was still cool.
I buy these things to resell myself. Watching bits of the tape reminded me of your photography archiving so I wanted to share that with you.
I picked up a couple of old video cameras in the past. One was a hard drive based camera and someone's wedding video was on it. I assume that they copied it over to PC or something at some point and just never deleted it from the camera. Or maybe it was just a real short marriage...
