My favourite place for fun
Fun is our way of enjoying what life has to offer and releasing tension and stress. It can be going for a ride, cooking that special delicacy with other members of the family, going for a picnic or participating in games of our various sports. We have different varieties of how we do have fun and for various reasons.
Some enjoy having fun with family and friends, they do take breaks from work and enjoy such breaks with family, others are in the habit of spending time with themselves, not because they are selfish or introverted, but they have, over time, created a habit of spending time with themselves.
Human energy, in all ramifications, is limited. We often don’t realise this because at the end of the day, we are still living. One of our responsibilities as humans is to guide our energy so we don’t burn out. Our physical energy is to be guided by making sure we don’t overwork ourselves at our job and we get quality sleep at least 8 hours everyday.
Emotionally, we make sure we build quality friendships and connect with people of good energy so as we pour onto them, they are also pouring onto us.
Doing this doesn’t mean our energy won’t somehow get burnt out at the end of the day, but we are also productive with it. One of the way to fill up our burnt energies is to involve ourselves in some recreational activities.
For me personally, releasing stress will be something I would love to do alone, free of company and association. My best way of releasing the tension and stress is going over to a getaway house, in the outskirts of the city or in the forest.
Why do I love this? It’s to get a grasp of control over my life. Since stress is due to being out of control of our responsibilities and beyond us, getting control will be best for me. In a getaway house, I would be closer to nature and limited to technology. It will be a good way of re-energising.
I got to wake up when I like, without the usual morning noises of car honks and the morning greetings of people. There is also no reason to conform to any usual activities as when you are amidst other people.
Staying close to nature is one of the best ways for recuperating. Your mind is at rest and creative ideas and solutions will be going through your thoughts.
As a creative person, sometimes you have to start apart to engage in deep works to bring out the best in you. One of my best way of having fun is writing out my thoughts, so when I’m stressed out, I can be deep in the forest, alone, with the voices of birds, rodents and other natural animals, keeping me company with my thoughts.
Such a time like this is good for every human being at least twice a year. That makes it every 6 months. We really don’t know the advantage for those that haven’t tried it before.
Interesting
Do you know I didn’t even realize that stress comes when you do not have control over your life?
Oh nice, it makes so much sense now.
Thank you for this, I’ll be intentional about releasing stress henceforth
