Sick Day

Hello Everyone.
It's my first time in this community.
I'm so excited to find a community where there's so much love for pets.
I hope I'm welcome.

This week has been quite a hectic one and when I thought the stress was going to mellow down a bit ,my best friend burst the bubble and I'll tell you why.

So about four months ago,my best friend brought exciting news to school,her dad surprised her with a dog.
She's such a lover of pets, She has a cat named Lucy.
When she got the dog i wondered how it'd live with a cat in the house but that was sorted out,the cat doesn't stay with her,it stays with her siblings in another state.

I eventually got to see this dog and It was so cute,he was six months old already when he was brought home.
We looked for a name and finally my best friend decided to name him Keem. I call him KeemBarley tho because of the light brown skin color mix on his fur.

Keem is a German shepherd and he's an amazing dog.
He plays a lot and is really smart and he's so full of energy. I don't like the fact that he eats the shoes and clothes at home 😄,he does better now tho.
Now to my bubble bursting....
Keem is 10 months old and we just found out that he has Parvo viral enteritis. He wasn't vaccinated against it when he was brought. It was just anti rabies and some other injections.
He had started to behave differently but then we had no clue that it was really intense ,my friend noticed he stopped eating,he stayed one place, and i noticed he was stooling blood.

We called the vet immediately and he came and gave Keem certain injections and instructed us on how he should be treated at this moment .
I really hope our fur baby will be fine.
The vet said it's a fifty fifty chance and I can't help but worry about Keem.

I pray he gets better soon 🙏🏼.
