My vacation creativity: Using recyclables to produce dresses
Hello dear Hivians ❤️
Happy new Year ☺️
So my lovelies, last Christmas holiday, one would have probably thought I'm having the time of my life in some vacation location yunno, chilling and making some noise😄
But no!
Christmas got me staying home and making sure I completed my school project before thinking of fun.
So lovelies, y'all know I'm in the university and in my second year at the moment.
I'm offering a course on Photo journalism, and so far it's been an interesting course of study. Recently,my lecturer lectured us on different types of photography, right from the onset, I'd loved fashion photography when he introduced it amongst other types of photography.
Few weeks to the Christmas season,he gave us a continuous assessment test to do a photo album,he asked us to find interesting topics and go out, take pictures pertaining to the topic he approved for us.
I had a little issue with getting my topics approved, my lecturer said my topics weren't creative enough, well I decided to do fashion photography and what came to my mind was using recyclables to make dresses,he immediately approved the topic.
My lovelies,I had absolutely no idea where to start from,I thought for so long and then I went online to get ideas from YouTube. With the ideas I got,I had to be creative as well. I settled for newspapers and polythene bags. It wasn't an easy one and I never believed I'd finish before the submission date, but here I finished within the space of three days,my friend Angel helped me out with some stuff, I have her to thank.
Using polythene bags and newspapers to craft out a dress demanded lots of creativity from me even though I learnt a lot from the process. I added some fabric behind to help stick the newspaper together and it successfully came out glamorous.
For the polythene bag, I attached the polythene on a fabric and then sewed it as blouse.
With the recyclables I made a skirt, gown and a blouse
I hope y'all love the outcome of the dresses .
There you go 😘❤️
I love it!!!
Wow,my favorite is the poly theme dress.
You just three days for this?you are Amazon and Angel is a good friend too,God bless her
Thank you darling
