From Paper to a Perfect fit

Hope your week is going great.
Mine is and i want to share with you one of my DIY dresses.

This one is quite special because sometime ago I'd drawn it on paper but I was quite reluctant about making it because I thought it would be a flop but i gained some courage and went ahead to make it

I'd drawn the different parts of the clothing i wanted to make,it was going to be an organza top with a gown made from duchess material.
I wanted to combine the two ,i thought of monochroming with purple but i realized i didn't have enough black or white clothes in my wardrobe so i decided to go with white and black .

After I'd drawn the shirt and gown separately I decided to fuse them together.
At this point I was going to bring out what was in my head for such a long time,i didn't know if it would be a good combination but I went ahead to fuse

After that I went ahead to sew what i had drawn.
I didn't really document the process because I didn't believe it was going to come out great but I was proven wrong, turns out my dress came out just the way I'd put it on paper .
For this dress, i used
1 yard of duchess
1½ yard of organza
Mercury poly (for the strap of my gown) and
Elastic.

This is the finished work of my dress,i wore it to church and a lot of people loved it, since it was a white and black thingy i decided to use a black sequence head wear and i used black shoes too.
My nude bag was used because I don't have a black bag yet.
So dearies , what do you think about my dress , was it a hit or miss.
