Journey of the Heart: An unforgettable encounter

On a bright Saturday morning I caught myself getting prepared for a wedding i had been invited to by a childhood friend. It had been a while since I attended a social gathering to talk less about a wedding. It was an anxious morning trying to figure out what outfit to put on while also thinking about the numerous faces I’ll be seeing and a potential reunion with a lot of childhood buddies.

After getting my tux pressed I set out to the wedding venue and I got there as soon as possible. It was a wonderful location with a great atmosphere on a bright Saturday morning. It was just perfect for a wedding. As the air was filled with laughs and excitement from different people I proceeded to meet with my childhood friend Daniel who was getting married. We started reminiscing about times that we spent together during our childhood mostly filled with adventures we couldn’t help but laugh about. So the ceremony was about to begin so we said later to each other as he had to prepare while I had to get a good seat to get a good view of the wedding ceremony.

So I made my way to a seat while mingling with the guests and some familiar faces. I stopped to exchange pleasantries and catch up for a short while. As I was about to take my seat I couldn’t help but take notice of an extremely vivacious woman. She stood among a couple of friends but I was in awe of her beauty and I couldn’t take my eyes off her .

Fascinated by this captivating and aesthetically impressive lady, I left my seat and approached her. I said hello and introduced myself and she told me her name and offered me a seat while smiling inside. I kept my cool as I didn’t want to seem overly struck by her beauty. Her voice was pleasant to my ears so we engaged in an intriguing conversation in soft voices so as to not disturb the ceremony. Time went by so fast as we shared similar interests while the ceremony was going on around us, being a background to the great connection we shared.

As the day went on the bride and groom began to exchange vows and our eyes met for a moment and I couldn’t help but imagine a scenario of doing the same thing with the woman sitting beside me. She smiled for a split second and that was enough because I knew she felt the same thing too. While the couple exchanged their vows with promises of love and commitment, we witnessed the beginning of something truly special.

The ceremony came to an end. We applauded the couple and I walked up to congratulate Daniel and wished him nothing but happiness. It was time for the crowd to get their dancing shoes on as merriment and celebration graced the floor. In the middle of the celebration I couldn’t help but feel drawn to this woman as I found comfort in her company.

Everything felt like a fantasy to me as I couldn’t muster up what to tell her at that moment. The ceremony was concluding so I suggested we talk for a short walk together and she obliged. We began walking under a bright moon sky as the moon casted its bright light on her stunning face So I summoned up courage and told her how I felt it seemed like we had known each other for years due to the way we connected so fast.

I couldn’t tell what she was thinking right in that moment. I was feeling nervous. She smiled and said she felt the exact same way my eyes lit up with excitement. In that moment the world around us had faded away while feeling emotions of love towards each other. A magical day was nothing like I had imagined when getting set to attend the wedding. We were out of time so we embraced for a short while as i took her phone number with promise of giving her a call the following morning she drove away. I was beaming as I knew something special had just occurred.
