Echoes of Eternity: A Tale of Time and Remembered Moments

When I was a kid I loved going out with my siblings to the mall, amusement park , beach anywhere which was available for us to have fun.

During the academic session my eldest sister Tolu had promised to take me and my brother out to watch the new Assassin's Creed movie. I was so excited to watch the movie first because I had never been to the cinema. Second, I loved action movies more than anything. I was so hyped for it. After the academic session came to an end my sister decided on a date for us to visit Ikeja city mall to watch the movie.

I began counting the days to the date we were to go to the movies. It was all I could think about. I picked out my clothes already and it wasn't even close to the date. Finally, the day came that it was a Saturday. I picked out my new pair of Adidas sneakers my aunt gifted me as a Christmas present and wore my best outfit. I knew in my mind I was going to have my best day.

As we set on the journey to the Ikeja city mall which was about an hour from our house I always loved being on the road as the tall buildings and great scenery in Lagos always excited me. My brother Ade sat quietly in the car. He was always reserved as a person that's what makes him special but I was the opposite of that as I was overjoyed inside the car. The ride took almost two hours. Lagos traffic was always unavoidable. I was so tired that I wasn't as hyper active as I was but I remained happy.

As we walked in the mall it was so big and filled with different types of people including foreigners I was so intrigued I almost approached a stranger but my sister dragged me back . We got to the cinema and Tolu asked for three movie tickets. We were informed the movie had already aired so we had to wait another two hours. We had the option of watching another movie but I refused and my sister agreed to wait. My sister suggested we go to the game store to check the games they had so we went there. We had to pay a small amount to get in but it was worth it. It was busy so I told her I wanted to play fifa not that I was any good at fifa but I heard my classmates talk about how great it is so I went on to play fifa while my sister and brother went to the arcade . After playing five games I was beaten mercilessly by my opponent conceding at least five goals in each of the five games we played I stood up and ran go the arcade section where my sister was I was sweating she asked "did you enjoy the game" I answered " no I was beaten five times'' and my sister laughed so hard . Time had gone by and it was time to go back to the cinemas. We presented our movie tickets and we were allowed inside. I asked for some popcorn on my way in and we sat down . My eyes were glued to the screen as the movie went on. I'm not sure I blinked once as I captured every single scene.

Finally it came to an end and we made our way out of the cinema. My sister got my brother and I some ice cream and we found a ride home. I had a great time. It was one of the best days of my life because I was so happy and looking back I wish I could rewind time to experience that feeling once again.
