MY GRANDFATHER'S OLD SILVER COIN
good afternoon lovers of gold and silver, here again in this community of #hive bringing you a coin that among all is the most special not because of its economic value but because it belonged to my grandfather
it is a coin from Venezuela A FUERTE DE PLATA 1936 same year when he was born
My grandfather did not know him very well. He died when I was 3 or 4 years old and I remember very little, but what if there are many stories about him, he was someone of strong character and at the same time he helped everyone he could, so much so. knowing that he was going to die of cancer, he sold everything to help everyone he could before he left, he had a van and he sold it and with that he helped my father buy the apartment where I live today, he helped others aunts and people
my grandfather came to venezuela from the canary islands when franco the dictator ruled, those were difficult times and for those who lived in the canary islands much more
Among the things that my grandfather left and for him they were special were these silver coins, he left one for each son and he asked his grandchildren to keep them for us, unfortunately they all sold them and this is the one that survives and I will pass it on to my children like this as he did, as I said before, it has the same date as when he was born and I guess that's why the tie made them look even more special
Of these many were minted on these dates and if I remember correctly they were the last silver coins known as FUERTE, but even so it is one of those that I have the special one and it is the only one of all that I would not sell
the characteristics are:
Minted: Philadelphia Mint, U.S.A.
Issued amount: 2,000,000 coins
Material: 900 Sterling Silver
Weight: 25 grams
Diameter: 37 millimeters
and good friends here ends this post, I hope you like it, soon I will show more than I have in terms of silver coins, I wish you all a good afternoon

My coin collection started with my Grandfather passing several albums and tubes of silver coinage to my father. Then my Father passed it to me upon his passing and since then I have added a considerable quantity to it.
Thanks for sharing how you acquired the coin @damoclesart
