Protecting against the Super Sneak Rule
Whenever the Super Sneak rule appears in my battles in Splinterlands, I only think of one strategy: selecting a good defense in the backline to defend myself from attacks by monsters that have the Sneak ability.
Super Sneak - In this rule, all monsters with melee attacks gain the Sneak ability, which means they will target the enemy monster positioned in the last position.
When I have to choose a good defense for melee attacks, I think of the Shield ability.
Shield - The monster that has this ability will only receive half the damage against melee and ranged attacks.
With a good defense in the backline, I feel more confident in my battles with the Super Sneak rule because it is very common for my opponents to use monsters with melee attacks to take advantage of this rule.
- Remember that melee monsters with the Sneak ability can attack in any position.
Link to the Battle
This was my most recent battle with the Super Sneak rule and in it I used a very simple and useful strategy. To start, I had to keep my Frontline with a good defense since there is always the possibility that my opponent will not use only monsters with melee attacks in the battle, so I selected the Pelacor Conjurer as my monster to defend in the first position.
Pelacor Conjurer - This monster has no attack but has a great chance of dodging attacks, including magical attacks. The Pelacor Conjurer will also be very useful against magical attacks since it has the ability Magic Reflect and the first attack it receives will be nullified because of its ability Divine Shield.
This will be one of my main defenses in the backline, now let's see the other monsters I used in the battle.
Jared Scar - This is my most powerful monster in battle, he has a strong melee attack and has a 100% chance to hit the attack because of his True Strike ability, he also has the Bloodlust ability which means he will increase his attack, speed and life by +1 when he defeats an enemy monster.
Soul Fiend - This is a monster that costs 0 mana and he will be able to attack in this position because of the Super Sneak rule, his function will be to deal damage and increase the speed of my monsters by +1 with his Swiftness ability.
Vulguine - This is a low mana cost monster but he has a powerful attack and also a good chance to dodge attacks because of his Dodge ability, so he will be very useful in battle.
Venator Kinjo - This is another low mana cost monster, he will not be targeted by attacks until he is in the first position because of his Camouflage ability, he will decrease the speed of my opponent's attacks by -1 with his Slow ability and he is immune to Magic Debuffs.
Chaos Knight - In the last position we have this monster and it will be my main defense against the Super Sneak rule because it has the ability Shield so even if the melee monsters target it, they will have difficulty defeating this monster. The Chaos Knight will also increase the melee attack of all my monsters in battle by +1.
As a summoner I selected Lux Vegas, she will increase the speed, health and armor of my monsters by +1 so she is a very useful choice for battles.
With this strategy I will be able to defend myself from the Super Sneak rule more easily and the reason I choose monsters with melee attack as most of my monsters is because I would benefit from the Super Sneak rule and the buff from the Chaos Knight's ability Inspire.
After only 5 rounds my opponent was defeated and with this strategy I didn't lose any of my monsters during the battle and in the end my Jared Scar ended up with 12 attack which made him a true attack machine. 1 single attack from him was enough to defeat any of my opponent's monsters.
