My thoughts
I do not really see any problems with any of the choices made. I do think there are some cards that are still not up to par with others in the set. In particular, the Amazon cards that Nature got seem very lackluster in comparison. And I would have liked to see some love thrown their way. But as I think there still are some cards they are a bit, let's say, over-tuned still in the set. I think we will see at least one more balance patch before they finalize and lock in the set.
Regarding the Etherbot cards that got nerfed, I do not think that the changes to either the Firewall or the Arcane Sphere will have that much of an impact. Sure you will most likely not get a second hit off with the Arcane Sphere any longer. But as a one drop, I would argue that that is more than fair.
The card I think that really took a hit from this is the Howler Golem. With the card's mana cost increasing from 6 to 7 it now puts it on par with Ember Oni from this expansion and several other powerful 7 mana cards. And to be honest, I do not think it is close to any of those cards. And The card will probably be dropped from most decks that ran it before.
Regarding the change to Assassin´s Aim, going from perpetually hidden to only being hidden for 1 turn. I think the change is in keeping in line with the other cards that have or grant hidden. I think this is more of an update than anything else. Updating and "old" card to make it on par with most other cards.
What are your thoughts on these Balance changes? Anything you would like to see changed that they did not do this time, or perhaps you would like to see even further changes done to the cards that were changed this time? Overall I liked the balance changes. Not sure about the moonshriker one though. They killed that card hopefully they buff it next patch so it's playable again. I did get how it's annoying to steal cards but it was random. I think cutthroat insight is more annoying cause opponent can choose the card.
The card still do what it did, it is just not hidden anymore, and a little expensive. But I get that it might be a deal breaker for some decks.
Yes it is 4 mana for it I don't think it's worth it. You have to play it at 4 mana and to proc ally you'll have to play 1 mana nether which will force turn 5 if u wanna use its the pulling card ally skill. It's too slow now :(
Well if the card dropps in play I would assume they will take some action, maybe revert it back to 3 mana and make it a 2/2?
Yes something like that but at least make it playable 🙀 or it'll just be in the closet for eternity
That is very true =)
how's your gu journey man.
It is going very slowly and extremely bumpy. It sort of feels like for every step forward I take, I at least take one step back as well, if not more. =(
How is it going for you? What deck are you currently running?
Ya I get your feeling. Power creep too real. I haven't been keeping up . I'm falling behind . Used to be mythic but feels hard now
Yea I have not even been close to mytick. A little while I was able to park myself in the second gold tire, but after that I have been all over the place, last week I have been able to stay in the first gold tire. So I guess that is progress of sort.
Currently giving an aggro amazon list a go, but the result is varied. =(
That sounds unfortunate. For me seems now the meta is aggro or super control late game dropping annoying 7-9 mana spells and creatures
Yea I totally agree with youon the meta. Sadly I do not have the cards to be able to muster such a deck. And my Magic control deck is far from able to get the job done sadly. =(
did you consider buying some cards? D:
Yes I did. But I don't really have that much money to spend in my current situation. And my bank, and some others in Sweden, have decided to block all crypto-related spending. Meaning what little I have I am not able to spend. sigh
ooooo I'm not sure if you play splinterlands but u can buy credits there with paypal and its not counted as crypto. too bad GU doesn't have this
I tried it a little, but Splinterland was not really my type of game. Also I have tried to go through google pay, but it did not work either =(
owh then I'm totally not sure. The only other way I guess is you p2p with someone that you trust
yea, I will try and figure things out. =) As for now I am just trying to pool my gods for the next expansion =)
oh I'm whaling up on next expansion or mini expansion lol. I got lucky with that band of wolf I bought stuff and ended up with almost the whole set except eiko and hortus and more money that I started with xD
Excellent, thats what I love to hear. =) Fingers crossed you will do equally well with the next sett or even better =)
Hope you can too man! It just takes 1 legendary hehe then u sell and rebuy
Oh and I use nature control

Before this patch, I am hoping for "Ember Oni" nerf, but it does not happen. Shrike Moonlighter got the hardest nerf, also I thinking if they are going to buff "Poison Dart" in the coming patches.
Nerfing Oni, hummm. As it is now it is sort of a poor mans Demi. And because of that I actually think they will keep it as is.
Poison dart. I also thought that it looked extremely bad at 4 mana. But I know there are green players running it and liking it. Simply because it is the only spell where they can pick the target themself. But I still think 4 mana is to expensive, even if you pay a premium to be able to pick the target.
Yep, poison dart is a little bit expensive for me.
