How many Ways do you use Hive?

This morning I woke up and while I was brewing my coffee I was thinking of all the things I needed to do once I got on my computer. As I was running through them all in my head, I took a step back to realize just how many things I do on Hive. It really is amazing. Here is a partial list of all the things I wanted/needed to accomplish.

To-Do List

  • Check my voting power on LeoFinance. I never like to let that get to 100%.
  • See if I had any comments on my posts or comments.
  • Check #Ecency and respond to comments there. (I like the Ecency Points, what can I say?)
  • Check my feed on Leo and see if there are any articles that stand out with time constraints. For example, today was #HPUD so there were things to do that had a deadline.
  • Check out #LeoThreads (#threads) and reply to anything interesting.
  • Add a couple #threads of my own.
  • Check the notifications on Discord and pop into a couple of them to see what's happening.
  • Go back to Leo, read some articles, and write some comments.
  • Open #Splinterlands, play a few battles, and see what else needs to be done. Focus chests, rentals, etc.
  • Open #dCrops and check my farm.
  • Open #dCity and check my city.
  • Go back and respond to any comments on recent #threads or comments I made.
  • See if there are any new articles or #threads to read and respond to.
  • Open #LeoDex and see where things stand there.

On and on, there's so much to do. I claimed my #LARYNX drop today. I converted some things to $HIVE for the #HPUD and then powered them up. I checked in on a couple more front-ends to see if there was anything interesting to read. I looked over my goals for 2023 and tweaked them a little (it was January 1st yesterday after all). I checked my resource credits to see if I could claim another account token. I went into #CUB to see how that was doing. Etc, etc...

Lots to do and only one place to do It

And all of this is being done in one place: Hive.

There are literally dozens of things I do every day that all come down to the Hive blockchain. Can you name anything else in your life like that?

I can't. All of this is done because of one thing. From gaming to reading to threading to interacting to finance, they are all just a click away. And this is still early days. Imagine what it could be like in another five years when even more dApps and front-ends and features are added. At some point I would bet we'll be able to check the markets, the local sports scores, news of the world, and then when a notification pops up, respond to someone commenting on your latest #thread.

In one place.

#Hive truly is amazing. Video, pod-casting, blogging, threading, finance, gaming, the social aspects just keep getting better and better. As do the opportunities to participate in a growing community. It's all here and we're just starting to scratch the surface.

Do yourself a favor and stay as active as you can in these down times. Your future self will be very happy you did.

Hive is the Way.

Thanks for reading!

#HPUD I just want the badges each month, but #LPUD I added to my actual goals this year. My goal is to add 1000 LP the first one and then raise it by 100 each month thereafter, i.e. 1100 in Feb, 1200 in March, etc. If I can manage that I'll be halfway to my yearly goal right there. I think both events are great tools to help keep people focused on smaller goals that, when reached, make the bigger goals a reality.

I am a business on Hive. That is how I view it. So when I get up, time to go to work. For me, that means putting as much on this blockchain as humanly possible.

You are not just a business, you're an institution. lol It's hard to imagine anyone putting more on the blockchain than you do. Between your articles, videos, #threads, votes (and their trails), not to mention all the votes and comments your votes and comments generate. It's got to be in the 1000s per day. Have you ever looked to see how many json transactions for which you are directly and indirectly responsible? There's a post idea for someone who knows how to look for that kind of stuff. Above my pay grade. 🙂

Currently I'm only posting comments to do interaction with these beautiful people active on hive, after somedays I'll start sharing my life with you all.

It all counts and in my opinion, commenting is more important than posting articles anyway. Engagement is the key. And as I've written about multiple times, some of my best post ideas come from the comments I'm making on other peoples' articles. Keep engaging and your article ideas will come. Thanks for the reply. 🙂

I wake up in the morning and open hive and check who has commented on my post. Then I reply to all those comments. I then comment on people's posts. I do two posts a day, one about the actifit and another post where I share things about my City. I keep sharing with the hive community how people live in Pakistan.

Yup, just gotta keep engaging. I've found the more I have commented, the better my writing has become. It's like anything else, practice improves your skills. Another reason my goal is to do at least 10 comments a day...

I know commenting is not easy because first you have to read the whole post and understand it and then you have to give your reply. I make more than fifty comments a day because I love interacting with people.

Heh heh we don't have identical lists but they look alike, here on Hive there really is a lot to do; the only thing I have to make the most of are the videos but, to do that, I have to improve my English; one thing is to read one and listen to speak heh heh!

Great post though, thanks for sharing!
A hug!

Yeah, I've heard you need a camera to be able to do videos.... :-) Those aren't for me. Maybe someday...

Heh heh I actually love both making videos and watching them. But I'm Italian and I speak little English. I understand it especially if I have to read it but speaking it I'm pretty bad lol!!😅

Go for it. Like I keep saying, most of my post ideas come from commenting on other peoples' articles. If you are getting ideas from reading mine, that's awesome. Hopefully we can all inspire others to write and this place can continue to reach more and more people.

There is so much to do on Hive but there just isn't enough time. I tend to have a few good hours at night to get everything done but my list is about the same as yours. I go visit my feed and play Splinterlands as my primary focus each night.

Yes, it is definitely something you have to like doing, which I do, in order for you to get everything done. But it is all well worth it in my mind. Every little thing done now will pay big dividends down the road. Just have to be consistent, which you are. No worries there. :-)
