Ableton Live Learning
I have made it too "Learning Synths" and is like half way through the course. Its interesting, but "hard" there is a lot of new stuff to learn, new terms and a structure I haven't touched before.
The way they have done it is quite engaging! There is text, there is a "sound" they have made, but you have the freedom to change the shape or drag any of the sliders and it will change the sound, you can really really learn this stuff in depth, if you play around this these things for a while! Also, you don't even have to be login to Ableton, its just free online on their website for anybody to use. - https://learningsynths.ableton.com/
Its a very good way to learn!
I just liked that you can here what the different Sirens sounds like in American and in Germany and you could make your own the one in your country, if you dragged the sliders around for some time :D

There is a lot of things to consider and a lot of new material. So much so, I haven't even used Ableton Live the software yet, since I am still just learning the basic xD
I aim to learn about this stuff for at least 40mins a day. Just to move the needle and see where it takes me! I already have a good idea of some of things I want to make in the program when it gets to that. I might even just pay for it so I can use it for longer :D
It'll take more than just 40 minutes a day of study to get get. The best thing to do is just get the software and dive in. Learn as you go. I used Ableton, live and in studio, for years until I started working at Apple and was certified in Logic Pro X. Ableton is a beast, and it is good to learn about the synths and such, but it's a better learning experience to just get your ears dirty, haha.
I disagree.
40 min is perfect as a start, not to get overwhelmed by all of things and all of features and not know what to do or where to click. The learning curve is high when just starting and opening the software, this is way better and way more consumable.
If I am overwhelmed, I give up.
40 mins (Or longer if I am captured by something) is a perfect timeblock for my adhd to manage :D
Well, then do what is best for you. I am only speaking from over 25 years experience. The important part is to have fun.
You have alot of experience no doubt, we just learn in different ways :D
If I try to force myself to do, I just quit and uninstall the software. Its not the way forward for me :D
