Greetings, fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

Somehow we have arrived at the first of April, and we have also arrived at Saturday, which means Caturday!

At the moment, it seems like winter is giving us its last gasp… it has been cold and windy outside so I'm very happy to be an indoor cat.

The Hoomans are in the house today and much to my surprise they're taking it easy!

I've spent much of the day being asleep in the Mom-Hooman's lap because she's taking the day off and she's been watching TV. I don't much care about TV, but it does provide a nice backdrop for a good nap!

A New Month, Filled With Possibilities!

So, we have reached the end of another month, and we have reached the end of the first quarter of 2023!

It would be nice to think that the second quarter is going to go a bit better for the cryptosphere, but who knows? The background "atmosphere" seems filled with uncertainty and unrest, these days.

The dad human was a bit upset earlier because he got an e-mail from the Bittrex exchange to say that they will no longer be serving customers here in the United States. I can definitely appreciate his unhappiness because we already have very limited choices due to assorted regulatory pressures and other stuff.

And we don't have it easy to start with, because we live in the state of Washington which has strict regulations as well, and most exchanges will not do business with customers in the state of Washington.

That part actually has nothing to do with cryptocurrency itself, and everything to do with the states substantial cannabis industry… evidently lots of growers and traders we're using Bitcoin and other cryptos to bypass having to report sales that would be subject to tariffs and taxes.

This will be the 4th account we will have had closed, as a result of where we live. The famous "they" may not be able to BAN crypto, but they can make it mighty inconvenient for everyone.

Not sure how this is all going to end, but sometimes I wonder whether we need to be worried about my cat food fund!

Regardless, I'm planning to forge forward and now that we have entered the month of April I'm going to more seriously kick off my efforts to continue building the blog and work seriously on more engagement!

Yes, I'm a cat with a goal!

Immediate goal is to definitely do better than increasing my Hive Power by just 150HP, which is what happened from January 1st to March 31st.

Also time to get out and visit more content, and comment more!

Caturday Community by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and typically has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
