Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

It's the weekend once again, and that means Caturday, my favorite day of the week to share photos of cats!

A Week of Reflection

It has been a very quiet and sad week around here, after Daisy the dog died. Even though she was not a cat, I still had a very good friendship with her. And so, it is not just the Hoomans feeling sad, but me, as well.

But now it is a new month and we will do our best to honor Daisy and move forward as best possible.

Meanwhile, the conversation about kittens has definitely become a lot more active.

The Hoomans have decided that there will be no more dogs in the house, only cats... and it looks like we will be adding two new kittens to the family, likely in August after the Hoomans return from their trip to Oregon.

It's exciting to have new housemates, but I am also a little apprehensive about becoming "Uncle Shadow" to a couple of youngsters. Hopefully it will all work out well!

My poor Hoomans are under a lot of stress these days.

No sooner than we faced Daisy's passing there was a different family emergency with the Daughter-Hooman in nearby Seattle... and then today the Hoomans' pickup truck broke down at the side of the road, so now they are facing the expense of car repair, as well.

I'm really happy I am just a cat and don't have to deal with Hooman problems!

On top of this, the Cryptosphere also seems rather lackluster... and our own Hive token just doesn't seem able to "get off the mark."

We all could really use some positive news these days, but it all just seems to drag on and on with the whole "going nowhere" thing.

Old lady kitty Smudge is doing well, and seems grateful for the fact that more sunshine and warmer temperatures are here... helps her old bones!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
