Greetings, Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

Guess what, folks? It's Saturday again, and Saturday means CATURDAY, my favorite day of the week for sharing cat photos!

A bit of a quiet day again today because the Hoomans went to another one of their "arts and crafts shows" in the next town over, meaning that we kitties have been home alone again, today!

Don't really mind too terribly much as life is much more fun now that Shangri and Nala live here! Those young cats sure do have a lot of energy!

Nala truly lives up to the occasional Hooman assertion that "Calico cats are nuts!" She's very energetic, always "into" everything and runs around like a mad thing, much of the time. The Mom-Hooman still hasn't entirely forgiven her for shredding the bedroom curtains!

Grooming is very important!

I have grown very fond of her, though... and she is very fond of me, as well... and often insists on being in whatever sleeping spot I have chosen. I don't really mind too much, as she is always purring, and we're nice and warm together.

Meanwhile, Shangri seems to have decided that the Dad-Hooman is his Hooman... so I have a bit of competition! Again, I don't mind too much — nor am I feeling jealous or possessive — since he always makes sure we all get our playtime and attention.

The Hoomans were actually so busy this past week that they didn't even get all the shiny sparkly toys put on the big tree in the living room... oh well, I've been told that they'll be taking care of that on Monday, but if I know them — as I do — they'll be spending most of Monday just recovering after their event!

Hopefully the Hoomans will be very successful at their show this weekend, which means they will be in a really good mood next week! And a good mood tends to mean extra treats and playtime, and such.

Of course, the holidays generally means a good mood around here... and we cats really appreciate the way things slow down and life revolves more round love, laughter and good food. Gotta have that good food!

On Friday, we're expecting the Son-Hooman and Daughter Hooman to come over to visit from Seattle, for the weekend. I'm glad the Daughter-Hooman abandoned her initial idea of bringing one of her little dogs... I don't entirely trust those things, and I don't like feeling uneasy in my own space!

Birdwatching is ALWAYS a good time!

Otherwise, not a lot of news from here. We continue to keep a nervous eye on the Cryptosphere... felt hopeful for Hive for a short while, but seems like we're back on the decline. Oh well...
