Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

We have arrived at the weekend once again, and more specifically we have arrived at Saturday and that means Caturday, my favorite day of the week!

Of course, around here, pretty much every day is Caturday because my Hoomans really appreciate the importance of making a fuss over the cat!

It was the Mom-Hooman's birthday yesterday and one of the things she got was a new lamp for her office and work room where I often sleep in the window. It's the place I call "the pink room."

Rather to my surprise, she put this new contraption very close to the pink blanket where I normally like to sleep... so of course it had to be inspected!

After a closer look I determined that the lamp is actually fairly small and it doesn't really present any kind of major threat.

And, in fact, it makes some really pretty patterns on both the walls and the ceiling!

As you can see from the pictures here, I eventually settled into my daily nap time without too much of a struggle!

Even so, I'm not very fond of things being different...

When it Rains, it Pours?

Aside from the fact that it really has been raining a lot outside around our neighborhood, it seems like it also continues to rain and rain and rain on the greater world and the economy.

Once again, the cryptocurrency markets took it in the shorts yesterday after the economic report here in the USA came out and showed not only that inflation had risen to its highest level in 40 years, but the preliminary Consumer Sentiment Index was now at its lowest level since whomever invented it started recording it.

That's not really too good! Meanwhile, once again, we sit here and watch our small stashes of I've become worth less and less.

It's at times like this I'm glad that we've all decided that we're in this for the long haul!

Meanwhile, Where is Summer?

Apart from the fact that it has gotten a little bit warmer, it's still feels very much like summer is nowhere around.

Every time a moment of sun actually happens, the Hoomans rush outside and start working in their garden only to come back in a couple of hours later because it has started raining again. Seems like a silly exercise, but they enjoy it... so who an I to judge?

Yes, I know, we live in the Pacific Northwest which is generally known for having a lot of rain, but it's only the 11th of June come on it's already the 6th wettest June they've seen since the beginning of recordkeeping!

As a cat, I'm also hoping that it'll change and will have more sunshine because I don't get to go outside and roll around on the deck and enjoy the sun when it's wet and nasty.

Meanwhile, Smudge continues to do well and I'm also reasonably healthy and happy. We're both glad that it's a little warmer in the house than it is in the winter.

The Dad-Hooman is working a lot and I help him quite a bit! But the latest endeavor I'm part of... well, that's a whole separate post, for tomorrow perhaps?

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the recently formed Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
