Greetings fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

Welcome to Caturday, my favorite day of the week! For the uninitiated, Caturday happens every Saturday, when many millions of Hoomans around the world post pictures of their feline companions, all around the Interwebz!

The Importance of Gratitude!

Today is one of those days where I paused to just be grateful for all the good things we have in our lives: Food, love, shelter, companionship...

People complain a lot about all the things they feel they don't have, and that are missing from their lives. But what about the things we do have, already?

Do we have gratitude for them? Or have we come to take them for granted?

I'm grateful for plenty of fresh water! (Can you spot the dog in this picture?)

Life is very strange these days, and things seem to be getting stranger as many parts of the world we know and are familiar with seem to be "melting down."

Maybe part of this "great reset" (or whatever you want to call it) might be just a trend towards being content with some of the simpler things in life... like having nice sunny spots for taking naps!

Smudge certainly appreciates hers!

On warm days, Smudge just likes her BELLY to be warm!

Gratitude for Blogging on Hive!

I'm certainly also grateful we have the Hive community... and I am grateful to Hive for offering the inspiration to finally get going with a cat blog, something we had considered well before there was Hive and its predecessor.

Certainly, the rewards are nice... but simply having the community is an important part of doing this!

I'm grateful for this sheepskin! It is nice and soft!

Meanwhile, I am feeling mildly hopeful that the crypto markets — and our own Hive token — will weather the economic turbulence we are experiencing these days.

In the meantime, I am going to have fun with the cat blog... and plan to just keep posting. It all adds up, you know!

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communties!

If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?

These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Remember, you can also "cross-post" your cat posts to them!

HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!

Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!

Caturday Community by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the recently formed Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
