Today, we wanted to alert all you cat lovers to something a little different:

Cat Video Fest 2024!

My Hoomans actually went this this event a few days ago, when it came to our local town!

So what is Cat Video Fest?

Well, it's actually an annual in-theaters compilation of some of the Internet's best and funniest cat videos, put together into a "movie" about 90 minutes long.

Cat Video Fest tends to show at "art house" movie theaters all around the US, and the rest of the world.

Maybe it seems like a somewhat odd idea to go to a movie theater to watch cat videos you could likely find on YouTube and elsewhere, but the event is also a fundraiser, raising money for local animal/cat shelters and cat charities.

So, going to the event near you is not only entertaining, it is also a worthy cause!

Cat Video Fest has been an annual event since 2016.

Caturday by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
