Day 2 of #Zingtober 2024: "Zappy Discovers Power!"

Welcome to the second day of #Zingtober! Today's prompt is "discover," which can be a bit tricky to capture in artwork. However, I believe it can be interpreted in many ways, allowing for a variety of scenes and ideas. So, I decided to create something that tells a simple yet meaningful story of discovery.

The story I chose to showcase is how Zappy the Electric Rabbit discovers his power!

While working on my #Zingtober entry, I started to regret creating such a large-scale scene because it felt like shading all the areas was taking too much time. It wasn't the part of the drawing I was most excited about. I was just relieved when I finally finished shading the stone pillars.

The workflow is the same as in my previous piece: I start with a rough sketch to get the proportions of each element before finalizing the lines.

As I aimed to show the effects of the lightning on the surrounding elements, I started by creating the lightning effect with lines that have a bright glow around them.

In the end, I changed the background color to a deep blue hue, which I believe complements the overall theme I'm trying to showcase in my artwork. Here's the final result.
