Setting goals for 2023? Check out this tool to track your progress.

It is the end of the year and I see many Hivers setting goals for 2023.

While many set goals in terms of Hive Powers to reach by 2023, there are some indicators that can be used to guide one's activity in Hive so that the processes are taken care of.

I believe if the process is taken care of, the results will take care of itself.

Do you know there is a web app that can give you some indicators that can help you monitor your progress?

I am talking about this: https://eroche.shinyapps.io/hiveanalytics/

This is an R Shinny web app created by eroche that provides dashboards that crunch data from HiveSQL. Both blockchain-wide data and account-level data can be found.

I was looking into my own account... and I have these to share.

First, I can check out the posting history and payout. By hovering over the dots, I can find out the title of the post. The figure below shows that I have only a post that exceeds $15 in the payout. Clearly, I need to work on pushing more future dots beyond the $5 line!

Screenshot 20221228 at 10.43.50 PM.png

Second, I can also check out the number of posts I made over the months. If I aim for a post a day, then I should see it over 30 consistently. I am trying...

Lastly, I can also check out the number of comments made each month. If my aim is to comment 10 times a day, I need to see an average of 300 comments per month.

Overall, I found this tool to be useful. Though I don't vouch for its absolute accuracy, I think it does provide good visual feedback for me as I work toward the goal of accumulating 10K HP.

P/S: This is not financial advice, and please do your own due diligence before investing.

If you read this far... and if you are a like-minded Hiver who is on the path to learning more about Hive and crypto investing, and if you like to be tagged when I write such posts, I welcome you to leave a comment below and let me know. We can form an alliance to support each other's growth.

It's always nice to see more tools but I don't really rely on what a post will pay out that often. It varies and it's dependent on other people besides you. I like the posts/comments visualization though.

You're saying "I need to work on pushing more future dots beyond the $5 line!" When you know how (not being a whale on Hive, because still they're the only ones I see this doing at whatever post they're writing...), let me know !LOL
I mean, seriously, this IS a great post, so how can it be stuck at 0,25 cts and 22 upvotes after 2 days?!
Have you been promoting this post?

Thanks for your encouragement! No I hasn’t been promoting my post. Even if I share it on Twitter, or use Ecency to promote it, I don’t think there will be a difference. Do you have any suggestions? !PIZZA

Promoting it with Ecency points will make a difference and is even very important for the kind of posts you're writing. It brings the post under the eyes of people that otherwise would never see it. So you can find people that are interested in this content and keep follwoing / upvoting ou like I'm doing. It's a good use of the Ecency points you earn by commentingusing the Ecency front end. !PIZZA

I have used Ecency points at times, but I don’t see much difference in that. I might start posting some photos and videos to expose myself to different audience. All Hive users are at the core somewhat interested in crypto anyway. So that might help. I gotten this advice before but hadn’t put into action. !PIZZA

Which advice do you mean? To put photos and videos? To blog about crypto? Or to promote your posts? I think all are valuable. What I've been experiencing is that you need to be seen "at the right time" and that "the right time" is random! See for this my Beer Posts: Posted in the same community, same style, same tags, not very much difference on the time or day of posting, but huge differences in traction and upvotes... If you find something what absolutely attracts, please let me know. !LUV

Hahaha ! I agree about the randomness you described.

I need advice on “what absolutely attracts”!

Something like a holy grail, indeed. I am moving my way around to try to find it.

It all boils down to whether the big curators notice you. I think being a real person and someone who writes something novel is important. Others can tell it’s sincere, and upvotes becomes more probable.

Keep trying!

this has been my conclusion as well: "It all boils down to whether the big curators notice you. "
On the other hand, I had some of these big curators upvoting some of my posts, but they don't seem to come back, and they even did not upvote better posts of mine... !LOL !CTP

... for the rest it's just trying and I think you gave 2 good examples which COULD increase audience.
Certainly let me know! !BBH

Your guess is as good as mine. I think it was from commenting too often.
