Splinterlands strategy for low mana cost battles

The community engagement challenge for this week, is about sharing the blog on glint token and strategies for the usage.

Since, I have not used it much as my glint earnings are very low, I thought of writing second blog for the social media challenge and I am sharing another battle detail with a strategy for low mana cost battles with usage of a guild monster Katrelba Gobson.

As we know, Katrelba is a melee attack monster which has an ability to attack 2 times in each round and it is a sneak ability monster where it gets to attack on last monster in the lineup.

Since it is a gild monster, it has the blood lust ability as well and increases it's stats every time it removes a monster, means, it's attack, speed and health or armor gets increased.

The battle I am sharing was one with low mana cost with just cost of 13 for this battle and I have summoner which need 6 mana cost for modern battle format as other ones I have are not leveled up for a silver or gold level play.

So, I used 6 mana cost summoner of Lob lowland which gives blood lust monster usage option and also decreases the speed of all monsters on other side by decreasing it by 1.

I just have a level 4 summoner as I couldn't upgrade it more higher level due to I missed playing earlier because of my classes.

Mycelic morphid:

As we see from above, this battle had just 13 mana cost cap with one rule set of up to Eleven and that means, the monsters with abilities like thorn, magic return, return fire, retaliate will attack back with extra attack on the monsters which attacks those.

The reason why I used this monster in the first position is to protect Katrelba Gobson from an early attack as the mana cost of 13 could afford to use Katrelba and One 1 mana cost monster in Mycelic morphoid and a zero mana cost monster Fungus fiend.

Katrelba gobson:

This is the main attack monster in my lineup with 6 mana cost and 6 for summoner and this was the one which took on the magic monster used by opponent i.e. the Djinn oshannus which is with huge health of 11, but this monster Katrelba's blood lust makes it earn health and attack and was able to face Djinn oshannus.

Fungus fiend:

I just filled another slot with zero mana cost monster for sneak attack any and to protect Katrelba Gobson from getting attacked earlier.

Although this monster was never used as there was no sneak ability monsters on the other side and battle was completed by Katrelba Gobson himself.

The battle was fought for 4 rounds with Katrelba taking down opponent's Torrent fiend in 1 round with 2 times attack and Djinn oshannus fought and removed in 2 rounds with 4 + 4 melee attack in each round and last monster Hardy stonefish was removed in another round.

The blood lust saved Katrelba Gobson from hunting down by Djinn oshannus and that was the difference between win and loss here.

The low mana cost battles are always a challenge to adjust the monsters and even the summoner for that and luckily, I could get it right and Katrelba Gobson is one of my favorites now.
