Getting To The Promised Land
I think what is very heartening of late is the amount of new accounts that have been popping up commenting on posts. These are the accounts that will definitely make it as they are doing what many of us did when we started out and it is the only way to be. There are no short cuts as we all have looked and come up empty handed. This is a game where we earn by playing and there are no cheat sheets.
The Promised land is where we all want to be full of fruit and honey where you are so big you just earn because your stake does it for you. I have noticed as the years have been ticked off that earning does become slightly easier, but ever so slightly. You are guaranteed to earn x amount daily just by the stake you hold and that is very cool. The job is not nearly done and there is plenty of the journey to still complete as reality tells you the journey will never end.. Hive is more of a fun lifestyle so the journey is an enjoyable one that we should all appreciate.
For the majority of us on here price means absolutely nothing right now as this is the building process on route to the Promised Land. It doesn't matter if you have 1 month or 5 years under your belt as the journey will be different for everyone.
Over the last 4 years I have not only switched blockchains but the development that has happened around the community has been insane. This at some point will have to reflect in the price as it takes time to filter through. Hive at 50c is still something to be proud of as we were down as low as 8c on April 6th 2020 a month after we had moved. We have come a long way since those days and the community has not only grown but thrived.
It is interesting to look back at where and how you have developed from the fist day until now. I am sure when we look back in 5 years time we will see similar changes as development happens all the time and nothing ever stands still. As long as you are growing and supporting others that is all what counts as we move forward together.
I have never been part of a community before and hated having to rely on others in order to achieve targets. On Hive or any of the tribes growing on your own is impossible and why it pays to engage with others and get involved. This is why I say it is heartening to see so many new accounts commenting on so many posts as they are the next wave to grow. Everyone tends to grow in cycles and recognise a few names who started out at a similar time to myself. Many have not made it and have given up as this is not the easiest journey you will take but I can guarantee it will be the most rewarding and the most fun.

Hive for me is indeed a lifestyle. I wonder though how many of these new users running around commenting will be here five years from now.

I hope a high percentage do make it as we all know the first 12 months is the testing time.

Your consistency is an aspect worthy of note and to imitate, being able to dwell in a particular blockchain for four years is really encouraging.
Thanks for sharing!
This is being consistent and you don't even question what you are doing anymore as it is something that is second nature.

Yeah! It's true @cryptoandcoffee
Consistency is key here, otherwise there's no point.
It will be 5 years since I joined here in September, but at first I did not realize many things. That's why I tried to do a lot of things on my own, unfortunately I was not successful. It's a little late, but I still think I'm luckier than most. Now I am aware of many things and I will continue to be here as long as I can. I know that what I build today I will enjoy in the future.

I'm amazed at how long we have been here, time just flies by when your having fun and are so good-looking as we are.
I'm still optimistic about all of it, even if it all went bust I'm glad I was here to be a part of it!

I couldn't agree more. Time flies when you're having fun and we don't even realize for how long we've been here 🙂
What a journey, isn't it? And how many things we've been through.
It's been over a year since I joined but I still think Hive is an amazing place after I learned more about it. I think I am growing slowly over time and I have not given up on my journey with engagement.

Ι come for the earnings, but i am impressed of the quality the most communities's content. Thanks God, HIV E isnt as toxic as Twitter or as cheap as instagram. I hope to follow your steps in your long Hive route and day by day, starting forget about the price like you!
It has been a lot of hard work and a lot of fun growing over the past four years. I also look forward to seeing where we are in a couple more years. The only thing I don't like about the price right now is the fact that my votes on peoples comments are worth less. That makes it hard to pass the dust threshold.
I have kept mine at 10% as an incentive to those to keep on commenting as it holds so much value to the entire community.

I'd run out of VP in minutes if I went that high.
Good mix of weirdos in here now. It's great fun.
That is saying something lol. I think Steem had a stranger bunch and thankfully we left some behind.
