Commenting on the rise of nationalism takes me back to something that at some point in their lives my fellow countrymen have already forgotten, but that in my being is more alive than ever, I love my nation with all my strength.
Although nationalism arose in Europe and later spread to the regions where it exerted influence, fundamentally to North America, in my South American territory this nationalist sense was also accentuated to the point that uprisings were fought to conquer independence.
The first precedents of nationalism begin to appear in the XVIII century, and in these times of modernity they follow a pattern of boom product of the media wars that are seen between the power states.
