Method of making utensils from mud and wet clay. Tough way for earning.
Hello friends, how are you all, I hope you are fine, healthy and enjoying your day. Today I am sharing with you all an amazing video in which a person is seen making pottery. By the way, this too is none other than my uncle. To make pottery, clay is first collected from different places. And not all types of clay are used to make pottery. After collecting the soil, it is refined. Means small pebbles are removed from it which is through another process which you will see at the end of the video. Then this clay is wetted and kneaded like flour. And then it is shaped by placing it on the electric wheel as you can see in the beginning of the video. Overall, this process remains very difficult, but the livelihood of many people runs through this. The cost of an earthen pot is around ₹ 1 i.e. for $1 you get about 80 earthen pots. Earlier, many families used to do this work in our village, but despite the inflation, they did not get proper price for it, that's why many families started doing other work except this work.

The trend of hand-made items is slowly ending. Plastic utensils have started taking the place of these earthen utensils. This means some class of people are on the verge of being unemployed. In the race to become a developed country, we are leaving some things far behind. Although still some people are keeping the ancient traditions alive.
Yes sir, you are absolutely right, now wherever you go, you will see only plastic utensils being used. Otherwise, earlier people used to use earthen utensils more. Now plastic utensils and plates are used everywhere whether it is a wedding or any kind of event. As I told, about 10 families of our village used to do this work, but now only one family does this work.
As far as I understand, clay pots are a bit expensive, compared to plastic pots. This is the reason why people buy more plastic utensils. But we should not forget that plastic utensils are very harmful for the natural environment.
Yes sir absolutely. We get 50 plastic glasses for around ₹ 35. But if you want an earthen glass, then you will have to spend about 2 rupees on each glass.
You have a great ratio about earthen pot and plastic pot..
Somewhere this is the reason that people hardly thinking to purchase earthen pot
Pottery is a old profession but still a lot number of people love it. I'm one of them i also like to drink water in clay pot in summer. And some restaurant are design their atmosphere and services like old culture. I love & prefer those restaurant.
And i always try to go that places. whenever i need to eat outside. Thank you for sharing this amazing video.
I also love using pottery. Although now a new trend has started in the cities, people are very fond of drinking tea in an earthen glass. Thank you for your kind word.
This is called an art video. You're showing the art of this hard-working person. This talent is going to die soon because slowly people stopped using these things which is sad.
You are absolutely right. It takes a lot of hard work to work in this way. I remember I have also collected soil for that. Because such utensils were made in my house long ago.
Wao dear very beautiful.I like mud pots very much.
Today you made a video that I am very fond of.
A person is making glasses from mud clay.
Thats good dear.
If a person thinks of making it and sees its process, I don't think he will think of making it because the process of making it is very difficult. Collecting clay and extracting small and big pebbles from it, then kneading and then shaping through machine and then baking it is a very difficult process.
