3 Rewards Cards Rewarding Those Who Resisted FOMO

Rewards Cards Surged Up During Rewards Cards Gold Rush, But Some Did Not.

None of this article is financial/investment/legal advice, it contains a strategic valuation analysis of speculative assets that can be subject to market fluctuations. You are suggested to seek out a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) for all investments and the author is not an RIA. Splinterlands' Terms of Service identifies Splinterlands/Steem Monsters as not being an Investment Company. As defined by the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations, Steem Monsters (the parent company of Splinterlands) and the Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) that was published by Steem Monsters can be argued to rise to the definition of being classified as Financial Institutions in the United States. This is a duty to warn and inform given that the actions to be described regard the valuation of assets and speculation of events to take place.

Those who missed out on the Rewards Gold Rush in the wake of the news that Land would need maxed out cards to work on each plot and that tradeable Rewards cards would not be printed anymore need not fear. The reward for not getting caught up in a buying frenzy is here as there are affordable Gold Foil Rewards cards that actually are just as expensive as the pre-Gold Rush era or are actually cheaper. Three cards stand out and it is possible that these deals may not be had for too much longer.

1. Gold Foil Pelacor Conjurer

This is a gem of a card and true connoisseurs know it. The Gold Foil version was always the way to go with this card that serves as an extremely strong tank with the expanded rule sets that enable Thorns and Return Fire modes. It also can work on the plots and it is a popular card for flipping.

6 months ago, Pelacor Conjurer was nearly 40 cents per card and now it is 35.9 cents per card. There was a 9.8% drop from that time. The card appreciated up to 82.4 cents during the Rewards shortage and Gold Rush. It has risen to hit the 80 cent resistance zone a few times to come back down, but right now it is coming off a support level.

It is not the cheapest it has ever been, but it is pretty close. The bargain can be had on the per card basis and per BCX basis.

2. Gold Foil Pelacor Mercenary

Pelacor Mercenary's value is in Gold Level and above, which means for those who want to use him in actual matches they will need to get their SPS stakes up. Also, Pelacor Mercenary is not a bad choice for land either, especially as a Gold Foil card. Those who did not get caught up in FOMO are now getting the opportunity to get this card for a similar price from 6 months ago and a cheaper price from 3 months ago on a per card basis.

Only 1.4% appreciation for the Pelacor Mercenary on a per card basis, not much for a 6 month timeframe here. For a 3 month timeframe, it looks like this and it is more encouraging.

Pricing has not changed much from 6 months ago for Pelacor Mercenary for those purchasing higher level copies. Only a -0.7% difference per BCX from 6 months ago and not too far off time segment lows.

3. Gold Foil Pelacor Bandit

This is a useful card and everyone knows it, but it's still relatively cheap. If you missed out on this card, the opportunity is still there to get it at a price that keeps it on par with the rate of price inflation on either a per card or per BCX basis.

Over the course of the past six months, not much appreciation here for the Pelacor Bandit. First table segment is a per BCX basis and the second is on a per card basis.

Pelacor Bandit is following a similar pattern to Pelacor Conjurer and Pelacor Mercenary except without the second rally peak.

It's interesting to see the prices of these cards having quite a stable bottom. It's definitely a good moment to purchase some more. All three cards are pretty useful in the game and as you said, the GF could also be used for land. Great post!
